How Pouch Items and Trust Work in XC2
In Xenoblade Chronicles 2, pouch items are consumable goods that players can place into a Driver's pouch to gain passive combat buffs. Beyond temporary battle enhancements, these items serve a critical progression role: they increase the Trust level between a Driver and their bonded Blade. How to Find All Pouch Expansions
By default, every Driver starts with only one active pouch slot. To expand a character's pouch capacity from one slot to two, you must locate one of the six Pouch Expansions hidden throughout the world.
Pouch Expansion Locations
- Pouch Expansion 1 & 2: Obtained naturally through the main story.
- Pouch Expansion 3: After the story event at Boulderbore Gate in Gormott, return to the area after the party moves away. Locate the chest in the back of the bandit cave.
- Pouch Expansion 4: Skip Travel to Godsford Isle in Leftheria. Turn around, drop onto the moving platform, stay on it as it passes the first platform, and ride it north to a second platform containing a chest.
- Pouch Expansion 5: Near the end of the Spirit Crucible, go to the Vault of Heroes. Look under the staircase near the final altar and pass a moderate Field Skill check to uncover the chest.
- Pouch Expansion 6: In Mor Ardain, ride the moving cargo containers coming out of the factory at Beruf Industry Ward (northeast Alba Cavanich) to reach an isolated cliffside. This requires a key obtained during the "We Meet Again" quest to access the building. The expansion is in the northeast part of the cliff.
